Master Ron Evans

                                         Master Ron Evans started his martial art career in 1976.                                                  He trained with Bob Scott and Gary Green at Kings                                                          Karate academy in Ironton, Ohio. Kings Karate Academy switched to United Fighting Arts Federation (UFAF) under the Chuck Norris system where he continued to train until 1980. In 1980, he began his taekwondo training at Songs Martial Arts with Grandmaster Ji Young Song in Flatwoods, Kentucky. He continued training at Songs Martial Arts in Morehead, Kentucky while in college. With Grandmaster Song's leadership, he taught a taekwondo club in Morehead. After college and marriage, he founded Stillwater Taekwondo in 1994 in Alexandria, Kentucky and went under the leadership and training of Grandmaster Kyongwon Ahn. Grandmaster Ahn has been a huge influence on him personally and his legacy is apparent in the day to day teachings at Stillwater Taekwondo. Master Evans is currently a 6th degree black belt certified through the Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters), also the Tae Kwon Moodo Association under Grandmaster Ron Hickey and holds a national level referee status.

Since its humble beginnings, Stillwater Taekwondo has had hundreds of students and families share the experience of his
passion for changing lives one
​person at a time. 

Master Evans, his wife Melanie and
two children Brad and Olivia find that
their passion is to share their love for taekwondo through their humility, honesty and hard work. Both Bradley and Olivia started taekwondo at the age of 4 and both hold the level of 4th degree black belt.
